Every guide on the site is written for UK dancers. That means UK shoe sizing, GBP prices, and syllabus notes for the RAD, ISTD and BBO exam boards.

Why we started

Choosing a first pair of ballet shoes is bafflingly complicated for a garment that costs under £20. We wanted a single, calm place where a parent or an adult beginner can figure out canvas vs leather, split-sole vs full-sole, or when to move to pointe — without wading through forum threads.
